Michigan One Day Special Event Liquor Bond - $1,000 only $50

If you are planning a special event at a Michigan location in which liquor will be served under the following conditions:

• You provide a cash bar at the special event or benefit performance
  
• You have an open bar or otherwise provide alcohol and ask for a donation
  
• You include alcohol in the price of admission

it is required that you possess a Michigan Special Event Liquor Bond, this bond is also known as a Michigan One Day Liquor Bond.  This bond is required in the amount of $1,000 before you can be issued liquor liability insurance and a special event license from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

Under Michigan Liquor Control Commission laws, you are allowed up to 5 Michigan One Day Special Event Liquor Bonds per year.  Once you have obtained your Michigan Special Event Liquor Bond, it can take up to 10 business day to obtain your Michigan Liquor Control Commission license.  The Michigan Liquor Control Commission prohibits you from selling anything other then beer or wine on Sundays unless you are granted a special permit to do so which is in additional to the special event liquor license
